Promethean Board

Two weeks ago the school that I'm doing a Field Experience with introduced Promethean Boards into all classrooms. Before this board, the classrooms had whiteboards and projector screens. This board brings an entirely different aspect of student learning active interaction. The students can go up to the board and use a device that looks like a pen to write on the board just like a chalkboard. They not only can write on the board but can also use things like paint to draw pictures. One of the great things about these boards is that the teacher can teach the class from her computer and also jump in to help the students at the board because the Promethean board is connected directly to the teacher's computer.
